I am not the sort of person to hand my blog over to my dog. However, I can assure you that as a poodle-mix (poodles being known for their intelligence and loyalty), Java has been pro-Obama for as long as my daughter, who reminded me that she had, in fact, been pro-Obama before me. Of course, Java is also a neo-hippie, as evidenced by his infrequent haircuts and “peace and love” collar. He is also a bit of an intellectual snob, so it came as quite a shock to him when a pug, of all breeds, so succinctly and intelligently summed up a canine’s view of Barack Obama’s superiority as a presidential candidate.
Of course, Poppy's owner is a former student/current colleague/law school student, so it makes sense that she might be brighter than your average pooch. Or McCain supporter. (Oh! Unclear pronoun reference. The "she" in that sentence refers to the dog. It is a given that the owner is brighter than your average pooch. Or McCain supporter.)
As silly as my Ike was, his wisdom always prevailed. He once saved me from
getting lost in the Adirondack Mts. He may be gone from this world bbut he
still whispers to me and guides me as to whiich path to take. "bark. bark
BARak!"
That was cute and made some interesting points. You taught well. My Old
Blind Dog has no interest in this contest, but she's quite pleased that
it's keeping me at home in front of the television. :)
Very clever and entertaining. Poppy is indeed brighter than the McCain
supporter. That (your twice noted comparison) is REALLY entertaining me.
I'm always amazed at how well the Bandit dog is at reading peoples
intentions and character. There is an intelligence there that is greater
than our own.
